I'm a French native speaker, originally from France. With degrees in French literature and cinema, and more than 10 years of working experience, I want to help students to achieve their full potential in French, starting with understanding the student's learning style.
I have a Bachelor's degree in literature and art, and a Master's degree in Cinema, from the University of Paris.
I have a recent experience in French tutoring with adults. I have also done electronic device teaching for seniors, back in France. Last, but not least, I worked as a bilingual manager in customer service for more than 3 years; position that included a lot of coaching and training of new employees.
I like to start with understanding the learning style of the student. Some would prefer to learn by doing, and are very receptive to oral communication, and others would prefer to allocate some time visualizing and writing (I would then provide more exercises between lessons). Ultimately, I would use the communicative approach with the students. We would pick a theme together, that they want to explore (getting to know someone at a party, travelling, playing music, cooking, ordering at a restaurant, going shopping, etc). I would provide vocabulary to support the student, and we would practice together in conversation around these themes, integrating grammar concepts and ways of saying at the same time.
My availabilities are: Monday: from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday: from 5pm to 10pm Thursday: from 5pm to 8pm Friday: from 5pm to 10pm Saturday: between 9am and 12pm Sunday: between 9am and 12pm
I'm available for online tutoring via skype or zoom, depending on the student's preference.
