I am a native English speaker with a University degree in teaching. I have been teaching ESL for many years. I have an excellent grasp on grammar rules. I'm a very interactive person which facilitates stimulating interaction with my students. My students are very satisfied with the way that I organize my classes. I have a Bachelor's degree in teaching. I come from an anglophone family and have attended English schools here in Quebec.
My expertise is teaching ESL, which I've been doing for the last 20 years.
Basically, it's a very communicative approach seeing that a student's major objective is usually to improve converstion. Every class is organized with a few grammar points to better understand the structure of the language. A little hommework is assigned at the end of every class and systematically corrected the next class. I like to have little texts ready for the student to read aloud. It encourages them when they hear themselves read. It adds to thier progress.
I'd like to teach 10 to 15 hours a week between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm with some breaks here and there for lunch. For now, I'd be available from Mondays to Fridays.
