I obtained a University degree in English from the prestigious University of Calabar in 2018. I further took an Online course with The Allison Courses on Teaching English as a Second Language in 2020. Prior to my University education, I obtained NCE in English and Social studies from National Teachers Institute, Kaduna in 2013.
As a passion-driven English teacher, I understand the challenges learners encounter in both internal and external examinations and I help learners at different levels to surmount this challenges. I have prepared learners at different levels to become A1 candidates of different examination bodies. In 2014, I met a child of 13years old who was just about to take his first Common Entrance Exams due to his inability to read and nurtured him to come out victorious after the examinations. My NECO,BECE, WAEC and Common Entrance candidates dropped pen amidst laughter and jubilation last year. I employ modern methods of teaching, spiced with adequate exposure to technology to help my learners pass exams in flying colors.
Before teaching begins, I administer oral and written tests to my learners to ascertain their areas of weaknesses and learning styles. Thereafter, I prepare my lessons to suit the needs of the learner and adopt the most suitable method for the learner[s]. Worksheets, videos, pictures and supplementary materials like past questions are great boosters of my candidates' success that I use.
I am flexible and can easily adopt to suit the learners' schedule.
I can meet with learners at their homes or appointed place of meeting. We can also have our classes online via: meet, Skype, Zoom, Whatsap or Google Classroom.
