Professional French teacher and tutor for adults only. Preparation for DELF, TEF, TCF, TEFAQ, among others.
Standard and Lebanese Arabic.
I hold a bachelor's degree in translation and teaching with a comparative evaluation from Quebec, as well as three certificates to teach Arabic, French, and English as second languages from TESOL Canada.
I tutor one-on-one sessions, and have taught French for full classes of different levels at ALI (Académie linguistique internationale).
I tutor French with LRDG, mostly for federal employees who need to pass a government test as a requirement for their job.
I use authentic materials - including texts, audio, and videos - to prepare students for proficiency tests (DELF, TEFAQ, etc).
Depending on the level and whether it's an individual class or a group one, I focus on listening and speaking, as it can be more practical than by-the-book method.
To be discussed with the student.
All classes are conducted online for the time being.
I approached Elie with an unusual request. I'm a writer working on a novel series which features a trilingual woman from the Lebanese diaspora in Montreal, and I wanted to pepper her dialogue with common phrases in Arabic and French that might come more quickly to her mind than English does. Elie knew exactly what I needed and charged me a fair price for a generous amount of work in both languages. I highly recommend this tutor for both your traditional and non-traditional language needs, and I very much appreciate the work he did for me.
Very good in French (France) grammar and can also help you to speak a bit more sophisticated. Nice person.
