Native English speaker, lived two years in France and attended "La Sorbonne"; BC-certified teacher, five years classroom teaching experience, eight years tutoring experience -- all ages: elementary, high school, high school exam prep, ESL, FSL, French Immersion, children's phonics/reading, elementary and high school essay writing, literature studies, grammar improvement, help with university applications. I help students how to think critically and build their understanding of and output of language. I help second- language speakers improve their pronunciation, speaking, reading and writing skills. I use a structured approach for reading, literature, speaking and writing. I tailor classes to the individual learning needs of the student. I create a safe learning environment. I am intuitive and "in-the-moment", meeting students where they're at then taking them one level higher. I love interacting with my students and helping them to make progress in their language goals.
