I am an English teacher with a B.A professional degree from Santo Tomas University, Bogotá, Colombia. I have been teaching English for 15 years mainly at Centro Colombo Americano, Pereira.
I have studied at the University and I became a teacher in Teaching English (B.A). I graduated in 2014. I have a three module TKT certificate, graded with band 3. I have a TEFL diploma.
I have taught to young learners from schools, teenagers and adults. I have taught private classes, I have been in charge of song clubs, conversation clubs and corporate groups. I have been in charge of guided tutorials at my work place where I used to work. This year I got the skill and the strengthen my teaching experience through online classes.
I am able to plan my lesson plans according to the syllabus of the institution or the students´needs. It is based on learning objective rather than teaching grammatical rules, they are necessary to understand how the language works. However, it is necessary to make it functional and meaningful. The lesson plan includes a presentation, practice and production stage.
At present, I mean by the time I am applying this, I am available from Mondays to Saturdays.
I am able to meet the students around the place where I live, no more than 20 kilometers away. I will be able to use skype, meet or zoom. I prefer to use zoom, but it is also according to the students´preferences
