I've been teaching EFL for a very long time; currently at a prestigious univesity in Budapest. Have also plied my trade in the Middle East.
I like to demonstrate and facilitate. In preparation for class, I often send the students some pre-reading and maybe a task or two just to make sure they are familiar with the material or learning targets of the session. In session, warmers are not my preferred approach; I tell the students the aims of the lesson, I present them, the students practise them then activate them.
