Extensive teaching experiences in Japan and Canada under my belt have made me grow as an experienced teacher. Leveraging my teaching experiences, I can help students work on their individual learning targets including challenging areas of Japanese language such as particles, verb conjugations, and sentence structures. I developed many types of methods and learning materials for learners to understand these especially complicated grammar areas. Since I have taught a wide range of learners, I am well aware of all levels of Japanese. I can quite comfortably incorporate various content areas of learners’ interests including anime and manga or their study needs into lessons. I've taken lessons with Cindy for three months now, and they've been excellent so far. She's patient, and her explanations of grammatical concepts are very easy to follow. I've improved so much in various ways since starting with her, but I'd say the most noticeable difference is my growing confidence in utilizing what I've learned in conversation. I had previously taken some university courses on Japanese, but these lessons have been so much more effective. If you're looking to learn Japanese, this is definitely the route I would suggest, and I highly recommend Cindy - she's fantastic!

I had weekly lessons with Cindy for about 5 months, as a beginner (I'd been through Genki 1 on my own before starting lessons). She's a great teacher, with lots of materials and lesson plans, and fun ice-breakers and games too! She helped improve my Japanese a lot and we had fun at the same time. I'd highly recommend her as a tutor!
