I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and have been living here in Toronto for 15 years. My degree is in Engineering however I am fascinated about helping people pick up and improve their Chinese, and witnessing their progress. I have a profound interest in (ancient) Chinese literature which also help provide a different perspective to the language other than just being a daily communication tool but a doorway to a culture.

Limited tutoring experience but are passionate about helping with individuals with specific needs and goals.
Depending on student's goal, teaching approach could vary. Pinyin is a good jump board to ease the following learning process. Grammars in my own humble opinions are overrated especially if the direct goal is to be able to speak conversational Mandarin Chinese, in which case practices with simulations of real life situations are more helpful.
