Experienced and professionally trained guitar and bass teacher and performer Maurice Gordon is available to teach modern guitar, jazz, folk and reggae to the student that us ready.
B.A. Fine Arts(Must c) York University Toured with Reggae artists Jimmy Cliff, Mutabaruka, worked with Jazz pianist Monty Alexander. Performs with the Maurice Gordon Trio, Quartet, Pimento and more.
Taught guitar and bass and was Head of Department and Snr. Lecturer at the Edna Manley College for 15 years . Worked at his own studio, taught at various community music program. Worked with all age groups.
I teach students at any level after assessment. I use a modern Approach like Berklee College or Mel Bay Modern Guitar. I also teach to develop your ear and work on basic theory that is relevant to the lessons.
Available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays after school or other times students are available.
