Native English speaker with degrees in the Arts and Law. Available for conversational instruction, or specific learning in business and law. 2+ years experience. Meet online or in person.
I am a university graduate in Arts and Law from Dallhousie University in Canada. My field in the Arts is political science and philosophy. My specialization in law was in civil litigation, or courtroom work. I also have a TESL certificate from St. Mary's University in Canada.
My experience tutoring English began in 1996 when I obtained a work practicum. Since then, I have tutored on many occasions and with students from around the world. Most recently, I was employed by Language Master in China.
My teaching approach is conversational with a focus on listening carefully, while you and I chat about topics of interest to you. More formal lessons are available for those who are interested in business and legal English. All of my attention is directed to the four parts of language learning: pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and fluency. My classes are informal and I find students learn best when they are comfortable and feel safe.
I am available in the mornings from 8am to 11am, EST from Monday to Friday.
Usually, I tutor remotely on either Zoom or Skype.
