I was born in Siberia, Russia. My Canadian journey began in 2018 when I arrived in Toronto as a Hospitality student. Engaging in academic English studies significantly enhanced my grasp of the language's structure, and living in an English-speaking environment expedited the development of my verbal communication skills.
Following high school, I came to Canada to pursue a Hospitality education at Niagara College in Ontario. I successfully completed my diploma program in 2020 and subsequently started my career within the hotel industry, gaining experience in various hotels across Canada. Presently, I live in Victoria, British Columbia.
I began tutoring by supporting young children with their school curriculum and homework assignments. I later delved into helping students in IELTS preparation, leveraging my firsthand experience of taking the test twice, achieving a band score of 8 in the most recent attempt, which took place two years ago.
I believe that effective learning goes beyond rote memorization and focuses on fostering deep understanding of the language. I tailor my approach based on individual needs and goals. I value open communication and actively encourage students to express their goals, concerns, and areas of interest in English, which will help to guide our tutoring sessions. Learning a new language can be challenging, and my approach is designed to inspire students to embrace the process and stay motivated throughout their language learning journey.
My primary availability is from 1 pm to 5 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, I am flexible and willing to explore alternative times and days throughout the week. Please feel free to reach out to discuss scheduling options.
Ideally, our lessons would take place via Zoom, Skype, or any other platform that suits your convenience. Nevertheless, if there's a need or preference for in-person sessions, I am open to accommodating that as well.
