Professor of English at Concordia University specializing in ESL for students transitioning into English CEGEP/College & University, as well as teaching ESL to adults.
I have twenty five years of experience teaching writing and composition in Concordia University's English Department and at Marianopolis College to both native speakers and second language students. I have also taught all levels of English to corporate clients for L'Envol des Langues, Montreal's largest language school, and I am a freelance editor.
Whether you are entering an English college or university for the first time, or need to improve your English for your job, my method is tailored to student needs. Some students need to review the basics of grammar and vocabulary in a more structured way, while others learn best through conversation and activities. Conversation generally reveals problem areas for us to focus on, and each session has the goal of learning a new principle of English and putting it into practice, depending on whether you need to improve your spoken or written English or both. We subsequently can build on each of these lessons. I also like to include materials and subjects that you are already interested in, which makes conversations and reading more enjoyable for you.
I strongly believe that learning should be fun and interesting as well as stress free. I try to provide a friendly, relaxed and personal atmosphere that will allow you to feel comfortable and supported as you improve your language skills.

At the moment, I am conducting all my classes online. If you would like in person lessons, we can meet you in my downtown office at Concordia, in my home office, or anywhere accessible by metro.
