Italian Language Tutor Rossana

My wife and I came to Rossana as complete beginners with daydreams of one day living in Italy. We were hesitant about learning a new language online, but after the first lesson with Rossana, our concerns were quickly eased. Rossana's lessons are well structured but not rigid. She has us on a clear path to learning the language but always allows for tangents sprung up by whatever random questions we might have. You know that she has a strong command of her material when she is able to pull up specific lessons and give us a quick overview just to answer a specific question we might have. She also gives us just the right amount of material to learn, while challenging us to use the language in our daily lives. One of the criteria we were looking for in a language teacher was that she teach not only the language but also the culture. With Rossana, we were able to learn great lessons about the language but also have wonderful, often hilarious, conversations about the Italian culture. She has a wonderful sense of humour and every one of our hour-long lesson flies by in a flash. We can't recommend Rossana enough.

Rossana is the best tutor ever! She is always very well prepared for each lesson, understands your needs and difficulties, and is very patient when explaining and giving examples. Rossana is also super energetic and fun! After we first met, it was like I was simply talking to a friend who was explaining me something. The environment of our lessons is super light and enjoyable! When I told her that I would be going to Italy on vacation, she focused the content of our lessons to basic things I would need while in Italy, and every single thing that she taught me was extremely useful! I look forward to continue my lessos with her!

Rossanna exceeded my expectations in every way. She took time to learn what level I was at (low), what kind of learner I was (not great), and created very effective lessons for me. She puts a great deal of effort into her lessons, providing material for you work on between lessons. She's a bargain at the price she charges. After a few lessons, Rossana seemed more like a friend. Rossana is an amazing teacher and a wonderful person. She is patient and supportive. She makes the lessons interesting and relevant, and she corrects mistakes in a pleasant manner so as not to lose one's train of thought. She provides follow up listening exercises and takes the time to explain why certain things are said or written in a certain way. Every class with her is fun, and the time flies by. Rossana is an incredible teacher; she is patient and very thorough in her teaching methods. I enjoyed her lessons very much, she is the perfect teacher for beginners, intermediate and more advanced students. Rossana follows up the lessons with a transcript and homework; and makes sure that her students have a good grasp of the lesson before moving on. She is always happy to go back and review previous lessons, so that one is absolutely clear about any concerns. I would highly recommend Rossana as a teacher to anyone contemplating Italian lessons.

My wife and I were heading to Italy in April and as a gift for Christmas, I was put in touch with Rossana for some basic Italian phrases etc that would allow us to appear polite as we murdered the Italian language. When our trip was cancelled, we continued our lessons via Skype up until July when we decided to put on the pause button and begin again in August/September. Even if we never get to go to Italy again, we hope to continue our lessons. Rossana is a gifted and natural instructor. After each lesson, she sends you the complete text so that you can learnl. Every week, we are sent a “review” where we insert the missing verb or noun. This helps us to speak as an Italian and not a person trying to translate English directly into Italian. We love working with her and learning about her adventures, kids, Dino (the little puppy), her husband and all the relatives that remain in Bergamo and surrounding locales in Italy. The world at present is a scary place and no one knows when everything will get back to some kind of “normal”. Having something to concentrate on and under Rossana’s lessons, our Italian is getting better bit by bit. Rossana, has helped me tremendously with my Italian language studies. I have been learning the Italian language and as a beginner, I reached a point where I was no longer progressing. Prior I was in 2 local classroom settings, using Duolingo and using as many internet tools that I could find. I needed something else to help me move forward. Rossana is helping me with continuing my learning with just the right knowledge of the language for my level. Perfetto!!

Rossana Copler has been a marvelous teacher for me as I learn to speak the Italian language. She is extremely patient and has a great sense of humour which makes me relax as I learn to speak, read, and write in Italian. Rossana also has a great understanding of the makeup of the English language and translates that makeup into the Italian language which is a great assist to me. Over all I have thoroughly enjoyed every session and I would recommend Rossana to anyone who wishes to learn with such a fantastic teacher

My husband and I have been students of Rossana for almost a year. My husband is a beginner and I wanted to improve my Italian conversation skills. Rossana is able to manage both our levels effectively. She has a patient and thoughtful style however she keeps the lessons fun and engaging. We look forward to our tutor sessions with Rossana. She adapted to our schedules and provides homework which one can complete without assistance. She provides links to improve your pronunciation as well as referring you to movies, songs and books to improve your ear. We highly recommend her for beginner to refresher lessons.

In 2016 I visited Italy and fell in love with the country. Back in Canada I was determined to learn the language. I was lucky enough to find Rossana. She was nothing but exceptional with her classes. She is extremely knowledgeable of grammatical elements of the language being herself a writer. She puts great care using the proper form without lacking the fun, flavour and sophistication characteristics of the Italian language. I would 100% recomend her lessons. Grazie mille Rossana! Lessons are always fun with Rossana! She’s able to work with her students where they’re at both in terms of their understanding of Italian and their interests. You’ll learn a lot without even realizing it!

Rosanna is an excellent tutor and being Italian she understands what people visiting Italy need to know both through teaching the language as well as what to expect while you are there.Each lesson was recorded on paper by Rosanna so that it was easy for us to review afterwards.She gave us many ‘tips’ for when we were there that made travel so much easier.Rosanna is passionate about Italy and teaches Italian in a way that makes learning it easy!10/10!!

My wife and I travel to Europe every fall, and this year we decided to learn some Italian before our trip. We discovered Rossana and she introduced us to the Italian language while giving us an exploration of Italian culture and the regions we would be visiting. We were surprised by how (unwittingly) boorish we behaved in our previous visits to Italy : ). We have reasonable fluency in Spanish and have traveled extensively in Spain and Mexico, so we knew what we needed to know in order to get by and the language structures are similar. Italian is a difficult language to speak well, but not too bad if you just want to establish basic communications with the locals. Italians are super friendly, and seemed to appreciate our efforts to communicate in their language. We received a lot more good-natured lessons from the locals, too. We are home after our month in Italy. We met some great people and managed to get by in areas where no English was spoken. Rossana is a real language teacher with a solid understanding of English and a deep, native understanding of Italian language, grammar, and culture. She's nice and has a good sense of humour, too : ) 2 thumbs up!
