English and Spanish Language Tutor Carlos from Montreal

Completed a BA in English literature from Concordia, and about to start grad school for the same subject at McGill. Also completed a BA in economics, so I'm very comfortable with business and financial vocabulary.

I've tutored university students in English literature courses. Some of these students don't have English as their first language, so I've also helped them with basic grammar issues. I also do freelance translation and proofreading from English to Spanish, and vice versa.

I rely mainly on conversation around topics the student wishes to develop. We also engage in short readings, followed by discussion. These readings can be newspaper clips or magazine articles, and I use them to familiarize the student with colloquial vocabulary. In terms of grammar and spelling, I prepare short lessons followed by written exercises. I provide feedback at the end of the session.

I am flexible on evenings and weekends.
