I am a native speaker of Zulu and a proficient English speaker. I grew up in KZN, a small city called Ulundi, a place rich in Zulu culture and history. I have been teaching Zulu and English for four years. I'm also TEFL certified and I use CAPS and Cambridge curriculums.

I plan and implement lessons that consist of skill-building techniques for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
I use visual cues in presentations such as icons, images, and videos to keep the students interested in the content.
I use educational materials like Twinkl, and CAPS for Foundation, Intermediate, and Senior Phase.
I provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
I conduct assessments to evaluate student performance and progress.
When it comes to my teaching approach and I am dealing with children, I use the TPR method. One way I do that is to deliver content animatedly and use props, flashcards, and songs. In that way, I can capture their attention and make a lesson a fun and happy place. When dealing with teenagers and adults I first assess their needs and capabilities then tailor lessons to suit individual student needs. By use of questions, I encourage my students to engage and speak more in the class. In that way, they get to practice speaking and improve their fluency and vocabulary.

However, I can adapt to the student's schedule if it doesn't align with my schedule.
