My name is Chaline and I am from South Africa, I have a TEFL / TESOL certificate and have 6 months online English teaching experience. I am passionate about teaching English and enjoy meeting new students and helping them achieve their English goals
I have a high school diploma and a certificate in the hospitality industry.
I have taught young children between the ages of 4 - 14 years old as well as young adults.
My lessons are fun, busy, creative and interactive. I allow my students to develop individually and to find their own strengths and weaknesses. It is also very important for me to establish my student’s English language proficiency at the very beginning. I use the following teaching method in my classroom, The TPR method(Total Physical Response), which is used generally for young students. For older students I use: warm up activities, relia, songs, games, flash cards, facial expressions and body language, concept checking(CCQ). I also use the Communicative Method, The Natural or Direct way and the Blended Method. These English Second Language(ESL) methods allows me to keep my teacher talk time(TTT) to a minimum and brings my student talk time(STT) 65% - 70%.
