Italian native speaker with a canadian university degree, fluent in french and English and teacher in italian schools.
I've studied in italy till my high school grade then moved to montreal to study history in UdeM. I have a bachelor degree in ancient history and I'm currently in my masters degree.
I've already done italian private tutoring and currently working in an italian language school teaching children my monther language.
When teaching Italian, adopting a flexible and engaging approach that suits my students' learning styles can be very effective. Here are some teaching strategies that I use: Communication and real-life language use. I Use real-life situations, such as ordering food at a restaurant or asking for directions, to practice the language. Encourage conversation from day one and avoid focusing solely on grammar rules. Emphasize fluency over accuracy initially to build confidence. Using tasks that require the use of Italian to solve real-world problems. Create tasks like planning a trip to Italy, writing a blog post in Italian, or preparing a presentation. This will encourage active language use while also building problem-solving skills. Learning through physical movement. I Associate physical actions with words or phrases. It’s especially useful for beginners to reinforce vocabulary and grammar. And other techniques as well, depending on the student.
