English Language Tutor Molly

I have a four year degree from an accredited university, Grand Valley State University with a bachelors of arts in Spanish and minor in Latin American studies. I have experience studying abroad in Santiago Chile from Universidad Andres Bello where I studied and volunteered with native Spanish speakers. When I graduated from college I also helped Latino youth in a summer program to apply for colleges and jobs.

In my work I’ve been an entrepreneur, musician, activist and community engagement and restorative justice. Communication is my strength and connecting with people eager to learn on a one on one basis is what I do best. As a woman of color my experience in academia is unique and for that reason I believe I have a lot of insight into helping people learn and away the best suits their needs.

I know how to help students develop study skills and organization techniques to help improve their academic performance. I’m a very creative person and I’ve always learned best through visuals and through sounds. I like connecting with my students. The methods I prefer to use are Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) & Silent Way. Combining these methods grades and I have been flow between me engaging the student while also allowing them to be actively apart of their learning process during our sessions.

I am available Monday and Tuesday from 11 to 2pm
