Romanian native speaker with over 20 years experience in teaching and tutoring English both for children and for adults. Teaching/tutoring makes me feel fulfilled every time my students pass and important exam, such as CAE, FCE, PET, IELTS or get a better job.
I own a Certificate in Written English, a diploma in translating and a TKT Cambridge Certificate.
Since 1998 I have been teaching and tutoring English mainly for children and teenagers for different Cambridge exams and currently, I am tutoring English on a Romanian tutoring platform for adults. I am also working as a translator for technical documentations.
I always adapt my teaching method to the level of English and to the age of my students. For example, for my adults who I am tutoring online now I made my own coursebook using different resources, adapted to the skills they have and on those which need to be improved. I try to make them speak a lot during the class and I introduce new vocabulary using various reading passages on the topic and then asking them about the text. When I tutor young children I use games, different teaching materials such as toys, flashcards for introducing new vocabulary. I also tell a joke or a riddle or read a short story. I also use visual materials.
I am available during the weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m.
