English native speaker with a life time of teaching English, I am always teaching someone english. "I call it english on the go". I help people correct thier pronunciation when and if they ask me a question. it is my passion to educate and help people improve themselves daily.
I completed my High School Diploma over 35 years now. I have a 2 year Canadian Diploma in Human and Community Social and Support Services. and presently doing another 2 year Diploma in Medical Office Administration. I have passed the Canadian bench mark for English with my scores reanging from 11-8 speaking being at the top. I did not study for this exam. I also did studies for 1 year in Early Childhood Education, but was unable to continue, due to finanacial restraints.
For over 30 years I have helped children and adults learn to read and write. I taught my daugther to write cursive a the age of 5 and she won a trophy for best hand writing at age 8, Generally I love helping people, and sharing knowledge. I have helped kids study for spelling bees resulting in wins for all of them. I have made my approach learner's friendly, with so much fun. The brain responds at it's best when it is relaxed. when I was a teenager and babysat I taughght many of my client to read and write. This has always been a joy for me.
I use a holistice everyday life approach, for kids activites, with puzzeles, colours, games, eg. words in a box , scoring on a ring. catch a word and songs. I thought my 2 children to read athe age of 3 and 4 and my daugther to write her alphabet at 2 both my children has won several spelling bees, with medals and trophies. For adults, Iuse their daily life routines, cooking online or indoor hobbies, games and picture illustrations.
I am available Monday to Friday, 9.am to 6pm
I can work on line or at a public library, or even a coffee shop.
