Educator in private, college prep elementary and secondary schools, ELL teacher for international students, International Club moderator, ESL tutor for adult refugees, immigrants and migrants, enrichment coordinator for ELL children in several social service settings, ESL teacher in Vietnam for 6 weeks.
Teaching Approach
Trained in GLAD and SIOP strategies, Common Core Standards, Livemocha, Word, Powerpoint, Moodle, Power School Program, TPR, trainer for other volunteers in Call to Vietnam Educational Program. I am currently a tutor for St. James Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Program. My career goal right now is to tutor full time. I thoroughly enjoy facilitating the acquisition of English language skills to my students and helping them to reach their individual goals.
Availability
I would be available to students based upon their needs and work schedules. Days and evenings are both possible, and weekends in the morning.
