Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese native speaker with Chinese Teacher’s Qualification License and a master's degree from the University of Macau. Six years of teaching experience from university instructor job in China. Patient and easy-going. Currently, I am a graduate student at Uvic, specializing in curriculum and instruction. Additionally, I have two years of language tutoring experience in Victoria, with a specialization in HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) tutoring.
After earning my master’s degree in social science, I worked as a full-time teacher at a university, teaching Business Economics, Public Relations, Management Principles, and Exhibition Management. I also served as a part-time instructor at an elderly university. Currently, I am pursuing my second master's degree, specializing in Education at Uvic.
I believe every learner has a preference for different teaching approaches, so I like to discuss and explore various learning methods with my students. If you haven't decided on a method yet, we can start with the BOPPPS learning strategy!
I have completed my courses at Uvic and am currently focusing on my thesis. My schedule is flexible. I work at Uvic every Wednesday and Friday, so we can meet in the study rooms of the Uvic library. On other days, we can meet near Hillside Shopping Mall or downtown.

Ginny helped me a ton with the lessons we did! As a beginner, she helped me with learning words and sentences that applied to my everyday life (which kept me engaged in the lessons). She also encouraged me to ask questions whenever possible. I quickly felt very comfortable with her as she is a very kind person, which helped me with getting over my fear of making mistakes.
