I am a passionate native Catalan teacher, from Barcelona, with a long experience teaching in schools, privately, and online, abroad, and in Catalonia. My methodology of teaching is mainly the direct or natural method. So, is inductive, based on questions-answers patterns. I will also guide you to the right practice, with grammar explanations and corrections from your own work. The language you learn is an instrument, it should be touched and played very often. My specialization works for fluent conversational and writing skills. I engage my students to learn always from the language itself. So, you will feel your improvements very soon. In the first lesson, you will have the chance to explain to me what are your strengths and weaknesses. The teaching plan will be personalized to your goals and interest. We will discuss all that together. I will provide you with all the free material to practice on the web or from my own homemade resources. I am also a Catalan writer, mainly poetry and short stories. I have some studies in Catalan Philology and Literature at UOC (Catalan Open University). I am also graduated in Graphic Design with some Multimedia studies in the UK. I studied some scriptwriting theories with a private scriptwriter teacher.
I am a native speaker of Catalan & Spanish. I have level C1 in English; B2 in French; A1 in German; and A2 in Polish.
I have been teaching Catalan since 10 years ago. Mainly privately and online, but I have been, as well, a teacher in some schools. My main experience is teaching privately.
My main method of teaching is the direct or natural method. It is focused on practice. The student has to get familiar with the language. It is important to choose the right practice to be able to produce and to multiply with the language, from the language itself.
The method is inductive and is based on question-answers patterns. I will also guide you to the right practice, with grammar explanations and corrections from your own work. The language you learn is an instrument, it should be touched and played very often.
Once you are able to produce and multiply with the language, the detailed grammatical rules are also relevant and should have a reasonable role in the learning
I am available: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: from 9 am to 3 pm; and from 7 pm to 10 pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays: from 9 am to 10 pm Saturdays and Sundays: from 10 am to 9 pm
The teaching can be presencial and online. At home and online will be always much cheaper
