Whilst accommodating the student´s goals and learning priorities, my teaching methodology generally tends to encompass all aspects of the Spanish language. Perhaps, the strengths of my teaching philosophy and methodology are better reflected in the case of students starting at a beginner´s level: with them, it is my goal to build a long-standing foundation that will remain for future learning endeavors. I design lessons that balance the contents customarily covered in each level (grammar, syntax, phonology) with the conceptual work necessary to adjust quickly and optimally to the basics of the language. For the pronunciation section, for example, I dedicate a great deal of time practicing Spanish phonetics and familiarizing the student with the Spanish phonological range, with special attention to those sounds that are either new -[x], [ɾ]and [r], plus all the [ɾ] combinations- or that differ in some degree from their English equivalent – [d], [t]-.
