I have a degree in Criminology from the University of Windsor Ontario. I possess a private Canadian pilots license and a European validation. English is the universal language of aviation.
I have assisted groups of students in Colombia and the Czech republic improve their English. These classes have always been informal but students say they appreciate my slow and well enunciated English. I remember what worked for me in school and use the same techniques to teach others.
It is important to understand the level of the student and adjust the lessons accordingly. Most students I have taught have at least a beginners grasp of English and want to improve vocabulary and pronunciation. I have found using language games like Mad Libs to be very useful in teaching students the proper use of nouns, verbs and adjectives. I also find it helpful to incorporate the interests of the students in lessons.
I am flexible.
I am currently located in Prague and can meet anywhere in the city. Some weekends I am in Trutnov and could meet there as well.
