Hello, my name is Trish Moore and I am the owner of Sage Piano Studio, located in Sooke, British Columbia. My mission is to pass on the love and passion that I have for music. I also believe that every person would benefit greatly from learning a musical instrument.
I have gone through the RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) graded program. I also have a certificate for the required theory prerequisites. Over the years, I have updated my knowledge to reflect changes. I am a Certified Teacher of the Cascade Method Piano Program, which is a unique way of teaching lessons. At the present time I am going through various courses given by the Ultimate Music Theory program (UMT).
I have been teaching piano/theory lessons for 27 years. I have taught one-on-one lessons, online lessons, and some group lessons.
Every student learns in their unique way, and I base the programs I use on what would work best. I consider a piece of music as a "recipe", and it is my job to teach the students to be able to know what all the ingredients are and what they mean. My job is to help students to be able to work independently.
Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Can be flexible.
For online lessons, I would meet the student online. I have other meeting forums besides Skype; will be discussed.
Locally a student would come to my home.
