Hello, I am an English native speaker with a university degree and a teaching certification with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught students of all age groups and all proficiency levels. I can help everyone achieve their language goals while at the same time enjoy an engaging English lesson.
I have a university degree, a Bachelor of Arts and a Major in English with also a background in Linguistics. I have completed a Celta teaching certification as well.
I have been teaching in ESL schools for over 10 years with many more in private tutoring and have taught many students over those years.
All lessons are tailored to meet the needs of the student after the first assessment in their level of English proficiency. Students are given as much time to practice speaking as possible (creating a student centered lesson) with adequate support where they will be exposed to new information with maximum chances to engage and participate. I spend time to plan and prepare interesting and varied materials (I have materials of my own to pull from) to help students in their personal growth. Continuously their progress will be monitored and altered to maximize their success. I use many different teaching styles but getting students to talk and participate is the main focus, creating lessons that are in real life context which they can apply outside of the classroom in addition to building their grammar knowledge and clarifying mistakes.
