Over sixteen years of experience teaching groups and tutoring one-on-one and online, children and adults, in Canada, China and Mexico, to beginners, intermediate and advanced students, for academic purposes, traveling or business.
Since 2016, I have made teaching children my specialty, developing my own method that I have been also applying to my online teaching.
I customize each lesson according to my students needs and goals. My methods are very eclectic. No matter if I am teaching a big group or tutoring one-on-one, I adapt the methods to the specific circumstances of my students. I love teaching children, using a variety of techniques, including STEAM, mindfulness, music, art, drama, etc.
I am available from Monday to Saturday. I can adapt easily to my students schedules.

Learning to speak Spanish from Tatiana exceeded our expectations! For our upcoming volunteer trip to the Honduras, my teenaged son and I needed a practical command of Spanish in 8 weeks; having no previous knowledge of this language, we knew that simply learning vocabulary online or using Duolingo, for example, was not efficient nor practical. It helped that we are familiar with high school level French language. Tatiana began with understanding our specific goals and then assembled a series of teaching aids (videos and handouts). She is very good at using the visual aids on Zoom, and patient and has a good sense of humor. My son and I practised with each other, and with Tatiana - doing some exercises to get comfortable with speaking Spanish, pronouncing words, and hearing it, too, so that we could respond to questions - just like in real life! She made it fun and relaxed and practical - even my son did not find it boring or tedious (as he originally thought it might be lots of memorizing like in school) Keep in mind that we were not learning lots of verbs and conjugations and tenses for our purpose was for travel and conversation. We feel comfortable to start conversations when we go! Tatiana is definitely very organized and knowledgeable and enjoys teaching.

Tatiana is an excellent teacher. Her classes are fun and interesting. She is very patient and passionate about teaching. I like how she uses different types of material to teach me. Songs, puzzles, games, grammar review, vocabulary. My spanish has really progressed. Highly recommended!
