I first got to know about Jessica through a close friend of Jessica’s who works at a British school in Singapore. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with her for 4 years. Under Jessica’s guidance, my Chinese reading, writing, Speaking and listening grades have all improved tremendously, so much that I achieved an A* grade in my IGCSE Mock Examinations. Jessica has a wealth of teaching experience under her belt and has a rigorous, well structured method of teaching Chinese to ensure that the student is able to unleash their full potential. Throughout my time working with Jessica, I have tackled a vast number of past papers across all four skills which are assessed, we then go ahead and analyse the papers together once completed and weak points are then pinpointed and addressed immediately. Jessica and I are based half way across the world, since she lives in the Vancouver,Canada while im based in Singapore. We've been using Zoom, and we've been having hour long classes every Saturday. She knows the curriculum of my school, so she's always been on track with whichever topic, or project we have. She's also taught me about even more than i needed to know at the time, which has made me more confident in lessons. She's helped in tests, in which i scored better than what i would have if i didn't have a teacher. In short, Jessica is a fabulous teacher, and she will make sure you excel in anything Chinese based.
All I can say is that I was very lucky to find Jessica as a tutor. I just completed IB Chinese B SL, and she was an excellent help to me in getting through the program. I doubt I would have been able to do it without her help. She is a great teacher and I would recommend her to anyone learning Chinese, regardless of their level.
Jessica has been a godsend. Every time I have a question she takes time to answer it fully. She's adaptable, kind, enthusiastic and creative and prepared me well for the HSK exam. I highly recommend her, as a teacher and just as a person to be around. :)
