I am so happy that I had the opportunity to learn from Irina. She is patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable, with a plethora of materials that she provides to tailor each lesson. I learned a lot in the time we spent together, and wish I could have continued to be her student - if not for my two small children taking up all of my free time! Irina is great to work with and understands the language extremely well because of her years speaking it in Slavic countries. This is great because she can tell you how people are actually speaking in Russia and not just random statements that are learned from a computer program. She has all the materials necessary ready to teach Russian including actual textbooks from Russia, newspapers and lots of other various literature also from Russia. She can help any and all levels of people who are wanting to learn Russian and is easy to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone as she has a mastery of Russian. She is also very fluent in English so communication will always be great. Excellent teacher!

Hello, my name is David and I have been a student of Irina’s for almost a year now and I wanted to share my gratitude for her. I think people who are looking to learn Russian in the Greater Vancouver Regional District should know about her because she is an excellent teacher. I feel this way because she is extremely prepared for all her lessons and has all the proper textbooks necessary to further their skills and eventually become fluent in Russian. She has a master command of Russian but also has an excellent knowledge of English as well. This makes it easy to understand her teachings because she is able to translate them verbatim. Initially I was using a Rosetta Stone to try and learn Russian but I am glad that I decided to hire her as a teacher because her experience living in Slavic countries allows her to teach you how Russians actually speak. All the popular sayings and humorous statements are excluded if you only use a computer program. She has helped me in understanding the rationale about which case to use and how verbs and adjectives change while always remaining available for her lessons. I already feel that I can communicate with Russian people and will be ready for my trip to Moscow.
