I come from Beijing. I received my Master Degree in Education from the University of Rhode Island in 2015 and achieved RI teaching certification. I have worked in K-12 public schools, university Chinese flagship program, senior centers, immersion, exchange, and collaborative programs in the United States, Thailand, and China since 2010. I have helped students of all ages from 4 to 95 to improve their Chinese levels.

My teaching is always "student-centered". I will design my lesson plan based on students' needs. I will apply ACTEL standards to make sure my students could be improved in all aspects.

Yingying is great tutor!! She is very friendly and has helped me a lot with my pronunciation and my sentence structure through writing short essays together. She has helped me to improve my vocabulary as well through the essays. She is also very adapting and will ask me for my input on what we work on/what I would like to work on . For the most part we talk in Chinese through our tutoring sessions, but if I don’t know how to say something she is open to explaining/helping me by talking in English as well. She is also very encouraging and we often relate over the difficulty of learning a new language. Overall, I would recommend Yingying. :))
