Native Spanish speaker from Mexico, living in Quebec, with over 20 years of teaching experience. Graduate degree holder and PhD candidate.
Education / Certificates
MA degree in Educational Technology from the University of Guadalajara (Mexico), PhD Candidate in Education at Concordia University (Montreal, Canada).
Professional Experience
I am highly experienced in teaching different levels of Spanish as my mother tongue, and Latin-American-related topics in the arts and humanities. I have worked as a magazine director and a university lecturer in communications as well as a language teacher.
Teaching Approach
Reading words in context and practicing spoken conversation are both crucial to language learning. I can confidently help with both academic courses and language proficiency. I believe that communication is important for creating community.
Availability
I am available during the day and some evenings. Please send your availability and your sessions will be arranged.
Teaching Place(s)
I usually hold lessons at my office at Hit the Books, 1-1197 rue Crescent (near the Lucien L'Allier and Guy-Concordia metro stops). I can also meet students at the Concordia University Library.
