I am a native Italian speaker (standard Italian accent) currently living in the lovely Lake Garda region in Northern Italy. I graduated from high school in foreign languages (English, German and French) and I’m soon to achieve my master’s degree in Architectural Engineering. As a language student myself I am aware of the process of learning a second language and I put my personal experience in my teaching method. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable and achieving at the same time. I have a wide range of interests which include traveling, cooking (traditional Italian and foreign recipes), reading (anthropological essays and classics), languages (I’m currently challenging myself with Dutch) and fitness (martial arts, pilates and mat work). I look at a language as a gorgeous building, with speaking, reading and listening skills as walls and roof having grammar as strong foundations. I’m passionate about Italian culture and literature and I’m looking forward to share my enthusiasm.

I have years of previous experience in tutoring languages and literature and in teaching Italian language to foreign students.
Throughout the years I’ve collected my own teaching materials and developed my teaching method revolving around the student’s background and learning approach.
Through an initial informal conversation I ask the student what is their goal and the reason why they are learning Italian, as one may wish to learn the basics before going on holiday, or maybe has enjoyed an Italian movie or novel and wishes to have a deeper understanding of the culture or has Italian roots and wishes to learn a bit of the language in order to feel a better connection with their heritage.
According to the feedback I tailor the first lessons and design a costumized class plan to proceed at the student’s pace. I encourage my students to speak up and feel confident.
