English & Spanish instructor with 10 years of experience teaching to different ages, levels, and groups. I have used different methodologies focused on the students' needs. I enjoy sharing knowledge and guiding learners into their path and academic purposes.
Bachelors degree in Teaching English at the University of Cuenca. Masters degree in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English. Certificate as Spanish Instructor.
I have worked as an English instructor for 10 years in public and private schools and language institutions. I have taught English for specific purposes. Also, I have experience preparing students for proficiency exams. In the Spanish area, I have taught Spanish as a foreign language for 6 years. I have been a coordinator of Spanish programs for groups. Cultural exchange is one of the areas when working with languages, and I have experience in it. I am also an independent translator and interpreter.
For my classes, I rely mostly on the Communicative Approach. One of the objectives is communication; I want my students to use and produce the language rather than just receive the information. Thus, I facilitate different topics and apply techniques like dialogues, conversations, role-plays, etc in order to get the learner to talk.
I'm available on Tuesdays from 13:00 to 15:00 and Fridays from 15:00 to 18:00. I am flexible and I can adapt to other dates if needed.
